In Indonesien und Thailand nahmen \u201eKern\u201c-Anf\u00fchrer Xi und dessen Frau Peng Liyuan pers\u00f6nlich teil. Herr Xi f\u00fchrte zahlreiche bilaterale Gespr\u00e4che.<\/p>\n<p>Diese Woche der Gipfeltreffen zeigt einmal mehr, wie sehr der asiatisch-pazifische Raum zu einem wirtschaftlichen und politischen Zentrum des fr\u00fchen 21. Jahrhunderts geworden ist. Auch Deutschland und die EU wollen in Asien mit von der Partie sein, suchen neue B\u00fcndnisse mit sogenannten \u201eWertepartnern\u201c im Geiste von \u201eZeitenwende\u201c und \u201eDiversifizierung\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Vielleicht w\u00e4re \u201eWirtschaftspartner\u201c die treffendere und ehrlichere Bezeichnung. Aus meiner Sicht ein herbe Entt\u00e4uschung f\u00fcr uns alle. Denn sehenden Auges verharren die Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger der Welt in alten Denkmustern und Verhaltensweisen, anstatt den n\u00f6tigen politischen Willen aufzubringen.<\/p>\n<p>Indem sie ihrer Verantwortung nicht gerecht werden, verkennen sie selbst 2022 (wieder ein Jahr der negativen Rekorde) weiterhin die existenzbedrohende Realit\u00e4t des Klimawandels und machen \u201epolitics and business as usual\u201c. So r\u00fcckt das Erreichen der vereinbarten Klimaziele in vielleicht unerreichbare Ferne. Stichwort Kipppunkte. \u201eSignale\u201c, wie die \u201ePartnerschaft f\u00fcr eine gerechte Energiewende\u201c einiger Industriestaaten mit Indonesien, werden da kaum ausreichen.<\/p>\n<p>Natur- und Klimaschutz, \u00f6kologische Transformation, erneuerbare Energien &#8211; der Schutz unserer Lebensgrundlagen kostet Geld. Warum die bisherigen Ergebnisse auch dieses Klimagipfels wieder so frustrierend sind, ist leicht erkl\u00e4rt:<\/p>\n<p>Die gesamten weltweiten Milit\u00e4rausgaben steigen 2021 real um 0,7% auf 2113 Milliarden Dollar. Die f\u00fcnf gr\u00f6\u00dften Geldgeber im Jahr 2021 sind die Vereinigten Staaten, China, Indien, das Vereinigte K\u00f6nigreich und Russland, auf die zusammen 62% der Ausgaben entfallen. Im Himmel waren Kampfflugzeuge des taiwanischen Milit\u00e4rs zu sehen. Der schwelende Konflikt zwischen dem Festland und der Insel wurde dadurch pl\u00f6tzlich ziemlich konkret.<\/p>\n<p>So gut wie t\u00e4glich kommt es zu Vorf\u00e4llen, bei denen Kriegsschiffe und milit\u00e4rische Flugzeuge der Volksbefreiungsarmee (PLA) in die Luftverteidigungszone Taiwans eindringen (Air Defense Identification Zone; ADIZ).
